Privacy Policy

Leeto ("we", "us") is a ride-hailing service operated by Softserve Digital Solutions for use in Lesotho. This policy explains what we collect when you use the Leeto rider app, why, and the choices you have. By using Leeto you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

Data	Why we collect it
Name, phone number, email	To create and manage your account and let your driver contact you.
Precise & approximate location (while the app is open)	To place your pickup pin, match you with nearby drivers, and navigate your trip. We do not collect location in the background.
Pickup descriptions, landmarks and optional reference photo	To help your driver find you. The photo is optional and shared only with your matched driver.
Trip history	To show your past rides and support billing and safety.
Device identifiers, app preferences	To run the app and keep you signed in.
Crash and performance diagnostics	To find and fix problems (processed by Sentry).

How we use your information

• Provide the ride-hailing service: pickup matching, navigation, fares and payments.
• Communicate with you about your trips and account (SMS, email, WhatsApp).
• Keep the service safe, prevent fraud, and meet legal obligations.
• Improve the app through diagnostics and aggregated analytics.

Sharing

• Your matched driver receives your pickup location, description/landmark and optional reference photo for the duration of the trip.
• Service providers who help us operate: payment processing (Softserve Payments), messaging (Softserve Comms) and crash reporting (Sentry). They may only use the data to provide their service to us.
• Legal: where required by law or to protect safety and rights.

We do not sell your personal information.

Location

Leeto uses location only while the app is open (foreground). We never request or use background location. You can revoke location permission in your device settings at any time, though the app needs it to book a ride.

Data retention & deletion

You can delete your account and data at any time in the app (Profile → Account → Delete account) or via our account deletion page. Trip and payment records that we are legally required to keep are retained for the required period and then deleted; they are no longer linked to an active account. Security

Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Access to personal data is restricted to authorised personnel and processors.

Children

Leeto is not directed at children. You must be 18 or older to use the service.

Changes

We may update this policy; we will post the new date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
